Clear warning signs
- Phone jumps from 30% to zero and switches off
- Battery drains fast even on light use (calls and SMS only)
- Back cover bulges or screen lifts slightly at the edge
- Phone gets unusually hot while charging idle
- Charge stuck at 80% or 100% for hours with little use
Not always the battery
Fast drain can also come from a bad cell tower search, a background app, or a charging system fault that never tops the battery properly. Before you buy a battery online, confirm the fault. Wrong battery, wrong connector, or a swollen cheap cell creates new problems.
Swollen battery: stop using it
A bulging battery is a safety issue. Do not press on the screen to flatten it. Do not charge overnight. Bring the phone in. We remove swollen packs carefully and check whether the swelling damaged the frame.
After replacement
A good battery should feel boring again: full morning charge, predictable drain, no surprise shutdowns. Use the original or quality matched charger for the first week. Avoid cheap overnight charging on unknown adapters.
We test charging behavior before and after fitting a battery. If the fault is the port or board, we tell you before swapping parts you do not need.
