Try this once at home
- Charge on a known-good adapter for 20 minutes
- Hold power button for 15 to 20 seconds (force restart)
- If removable, reseat the battery where safe on older models
If nothing changes, stop repeating the same steps. You risk driving a weak battery lower or heating a board that already has a fault.

- Charging port or flex damage so the phone never receives power
- Liquid or humidity causing short circuits on the board
- Drop damage to the power IC or display connector
- Software hang (less common if truly zero response)
What a fundi checks first
We measure whether current reaches the board, inspect the port under light, and look for swelling or burn marks. Computerized diagnosis helps here: it tells us if the phone is completely dead or stuck in a deep discharge state before we open the housing.
Be honest about history
